Warm Heart Wednesday ~~ No. 003 ~~ We visited the Houston Thanksgiving Day Parade

Our family likes to watch parades.  It warms our hearts.
 Watching may warm yours too.

On Thanksgiving Day Mrs. Jim, KP, and I woke up early and went to the Houston Thanksgiving Parade. This was by a request, by popular demand, of KP as we had attended last year also.

Some of the Houston Rockets were there, J.J. Watt of the Houston Texans was the Grand Marshall, our Channel 11 weather team had a float, the mayor and some city counsel members, and candidates for office were the dignitaries.  Several high school bands, dancing studio groups, lots of clowns, a few old cars and trucks, and Santa were all present in abundance.

These are a several of my pictures, click on any to see it larger.

I love parades and haven't been to one in several years. Looks like fun!

Wonderful parade shots and what a beautiful family you have ~ filled with love and all good things ~ You are blessed ~ xox
KP is so cute and smart besides I bet! I used to love parades too! Now I like pictures and seeing them on TV.

Wishing you a magical weekend,

It looks like you found a good spot to watch the parade. I've never gone because I thought it was real crowded. I remember someone telling me years ago that she'd never go again because the crowd was three and four people deep and it was difficult to see. You got some great pictures and Thanksgiving dinner looked good! Enjoyed seeing your family.

What a fun time you all had! I love a good parade. But with 200,000 plus attending the Parade of Lights in downtown Denver tonight and last night, we pass. Too much conflict. We will look at the lights when the crowds quiet down. Sounds like your Thanksgiving Day feast was quite wonderful. Always a pleasure to see what you and yours are up to. Take care and enjoy the weekend.

What a fun thing to do. I've not been to a parade in years.

Your Thanksgiving dinner looked fabulous.

Have a terrific day. ☺

Looks like a GREAT parade - have they moved back to Texas?

Sounds and looks you three had a wonderful time. Great photos. I think we have 7 parades in our small city every year. Several more around the county. I like waving at the participants. :-)

What a wonderful parade. Of course, in my part of the world, you have to bundle up in winter coats for Thanksgiving parades most times.

Glad to see you're still blogging. Lovely parade. Hope you and the family are well.

What a fabulous parade!

It definitely warmed my heart to go there with you!

And I hope you're not mad that I envied your exceptional plate of Thanskgiving food, too!

Jim! You are such a heart warming person.

Thank you for linking.

XO
