Weekend Letter "H"; Hibiscus, Holiday, Half, and Hop-Scotch

The 6th issue of Weekend Roundup for this year...
the Letter "H". Prompts are:
(A) Starts with "H"; (B) A Favorite; (C) Half; and (D) Reflection(s).

(A) Starts with "H": Hibiscus starts with "H". Our hibiscus this winter didn't freeze and has started to bloom again. It did get a little frost on some of its parts just once.

We have had a really mild winter. Since the Groundhog saw his shadow both here and in Pennsylvania I am thinking winter has ended for us. Every day lately now we have been treated to from four to a dozen Hibiscus Blooms to view out the breakfast room window.

(B) A Favorite:  Mrs. Jim on Holiday:  I think she may have been in a drug store in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.  We spent a day there at port changing cruises (same ship, the Regal Princess [ click for live ship's Bridge Cam views] ) from Western Caribbean to Eastern Caribbean.  A few pictures here

We had left at New York City, went up to Halifax and New Brunswick and then back to Fort Lauderdale for two more cruises, same ship.  Total five, ten, and seven days.

(C) Half: This is two Halves of a Quartet.  Other than that I am not sure what it is or where it was.  Obviously Art.  Perhaps a mural, or perhaps a painted picture I had spotted along my way someplace.  Anyway it was with my pictures and it fits the "Prompt", Half.

(D) Reflection(s):  The rippley water this day gives the tree Reflections sort of a wavy blob.  Next time on a still day I'll shut the pump off too.  Here you can see the ripples start coming out of the spa.

Maybe with the pump off and no wind we could see the roses r
Reflect.  There are roses from here over to behind where I was standing, here and there.

(E)  A Lagniappe:   Hop-Scotch is a game to play on the sidewalks.  I think mostly girls play it, at least around where I've been that is the way it goes.

The World Market store here locally sells these.  I forgot to check where they were made.  Looking at everything we can see on the boxes doesn't show that either.

...they say that when you are retired every day is a 'H'oliday. 'H'ibiscus is a 'H'eaven flower. Two 'H'alves of a Quartet is also called two duets. Your 'H'op scotch chalk no doubt was make in China, where else. Thank Jim for stopping by, 'H'ave a great weekend.

A happy collection of H's! I like the idea that everyday is a holiday. I miss seeing Hibiscus. When we lived in southern California we saw lots of bushes of them. Such pretty blooms. I spent many days playing hopscotch in elementary school and got sent to the Principle's office for pushing a girl that wouldn't get off one of the squares. You've got a nice pool of ripples!

Your wife has a beautiful smile. Wow, that was a lot of cruising. Good for you.

You two do travel a lot. That's a wonderful thing.

Have a fabulous day and weekend. Thank you for visiting and leaving a comment at my place. 😎

Mrs Jim looking good! Have yourselves a great week, hon :) :)

on the ship again, that's cool that is a good picture of Mrs. Jim!

Nice H post. Mrs. Jim looks like a sweet lady. Love the hibiscus!

The hibiscus is a lovely flower! I love your "half" photo, too! I hope that your wife is enjoying her holiday :) Have a good week, Jim!
