"Now, Therefore, I, Ronald Reagan, President of the United States of America, do hereby proclaim Sunday, January 22, 1984, as National Sanctity of Human Life Day. I call upon the citizens of this blessed land to gather on that day in homes and places of worship to give thanks for the gift of life, and to reaffirm our commitment to the dignity of every human being and the sanctity of each human life." God gives only one life to every human being and life becomes valuable because of that fact. Many people make their lives more attractive by following Him, and trying to work with Him to perfect His will in their lives. All of us have known people with handicaps or a lack of skill who never-the-less made a very good contribution to their community and country. Because of the truth in these thoughts God Wants Us To Value Everyone.

Genesis 1:27: So God created man in His own image;
He created him in the image of God;
He created them male and female.
Genesis 9:6: Whoever sheds man's blood,
his blood will be shed by man,
for God made man
in His image.
Matthew 5:21-22: 21 "You have heard that it was said to our ancestors, Do not murder, and whoever murders will be subject to judgment. 22 But I tell you, everyone who is angry with his brother will be subject to judgment. And whoever says to his brother, 'Fool!' will be subject to the Sanhedrin. But whoever says, 'You moron!' will be subject to hellfire.
Matthew 22:36-40 36 "Teacher, which commandment in the law is the greatest?" 37 He said to him, "Love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind. 38 This is the greatest and most important commandment. 39 The second is like it: Love your neighbor as yourself. 40 All the Law and the Prophets depend on these two commandments."
Mark 10:46-52: 46 They came to Jericho. And as He was leaving Jericho with His disciples and a large crowd, Bartimaeus (the son of Timaeus), a blind beggar, was sitting by the road. 47 When he heard that it was Jesus the Nazarene, he began to cry out, "Son of David, Jesus, have mercy on me!" 48 Many people told him to keep quiet, but he was crying out all the more, "Have mercy on me, Son of David!"
49 Jesus stopped and said, "Call him."
So they called the blind man and said to him, "Have courage! Get up; He's calling for you." 50 He threw off his coat, jumped up, and came to Jesus.
51 Then Jesus answered him, "What do you want Me to do for you?"
"Rabbouni," the blind man told Him, "I want to see!"
52 "Go your way," Jesus told him. "Your faith has healed you." Immediately he could see and began to follow Him on the road.

R. C. Buckner was a preacher who came to Texas in 1858. He died in 1919.
"Buckner International provides services that include residential child care, orphan care, adoption and foster-care services, prevention programs, senior adult services, missionary opportunities and a global humanitarian aid program, Shoes for Orphan Souls, which provides shoes for needy children around the world."
We were on a mission trip with them to Guatemala last fall.
what we all should strive to do.
I was surprised you had trouble getting into my blog ~ maybe some of the jokes are a bit risque!! I am happy that huge tree has gone, with all the balls and rubbish drifting over the fence. Glad you liked the story of the Boy and the Puppy. It seems the bonde guys take things more seriously than the blonde girls. Thanks for visiting Robyn. Take care, Regards, Merle.
PS Great post BTW
I actually had a sitter for Nathan and my grandson, Jacob, so I could go to church ... but alas ... we had blowing snow and drifts and temps in the single digits ... so I stayed home snug as a bug in a rug ;)
