Ah! I got it! :-) Thank you. But it is like being "taken away" at the end of the life. Those who will not "float" will remain. Ref. Noah. So the happiness of "Oscar" will not last. Nice. :-)
When I read "woodies," I pictured those faux-wood-sided station wagons that were popular in the 1950s. I grew up in southern California when the Beach Boys were big and "woodies" were in a song or two of theirs. But then I understood what you meant --wooden chairs...and I laughed. Very clever and funny SY, Jim!
I know what Pat means. I can remember those station wagons. Do they make them any more; station wagons, I mean? I like your scenario.
