— My Alphabe-Thursday (2nd), the letter "D" / Thursday Two Questions —

.
Here we have two pictures to honor Alphabe-Thursday letter "D"

"D" is for Dum Dums.  Do you eat them?  I don't very often but my visit to the candy store in the Mall got my attention big time when I spotted this pretty dish of Dum Dums.  They are lollipops with a chocolate chewy in the middle.

"D" is also for Donut.  This pink donut was at church in a box with various colors and flavors of donuts.  Right away our KP wanted the pink.  Pink is her favorite color.

I don't eat donuts either, I have not eaten one for going on six years.  Every little bit helps when one is trying to do some weight control.

The Alphabe- Thursday portion of this post is for Head Mistress Jenny.

Now for my Thursday Two Questions.

I really enjoyed your responses to my "C" post of last week.  Today I wanted to finish my posting about Dubrovnik but time was not with me again.  I had downloaded 30 pictures for a running narrative but went instead with Donuts and Dum Dums

My Two Questions for this week (you can answer just one if you wish):

1. What problems do you have with your sweet tooth?

2.  Do you ever compromise with your blog posting because of lack of time?

Bonus Question: What is your favorite "D" word? .
My Thursday Two Questions post is for Amanda.

Too delicious to stay too long Jim! Great 'D' post!

I haven't had a Dum Dum in years but seeing them in the photo makes me want one.

My weakness with sweets is ice cream, any flavor, I love the stuff. I rarely buy it so I won't be tempted.

Since I haven't posted much at all in the last month I would have to say yes. Sometimes things get so hectic and busy that I just don't have the time. My favorite D word is duck. I was at the park a few days ago looking at the ducks and geese.

My son loves these. He earns them during his swimming lessons.

1. I'm not much of a sweet eater, but I do enjoy Coffee Lovers Ice Cream from Cold Stone. I also love pumpkin pie, but only have a small slice on Thanksgiving and Christmas.

2. I post every day, so no I attend to my blog first. If I'm going to be gone a long time I prepare post ahead of time so I can enjoy being gone.

Bonus Question. Today I think my 'D' word will be delightful.

So everyone have a delightful day. :)

Donuts are just so Delicious !!!

Hi Jim!

Dum Dum's are new to me but look really appetising!

And yes, I think we all have to compromise at some point with blog posting - we're all busy people after all!

Happy A-Thursday!

PS Thought you might choose *D*ubrovnik this week - can't think why!!

1. My biggest problem with my sweet tooth is that due to health issues I cannot eat sweets on a regular basis. However, this time of year I do cheat :)

2. With my blog, if I don't have time, I just don't create a post and there have been times when I have compromised but not too often.

No Dum-Dums for me -- I stay away from hard candy ever since I broke a tooth on one -- but that doughnut sure looks good!
Ice cream is the biggest problem for my sweet tooth!

Those two Ds goodies are both yummy! I rather a donuts any day, but my daughter would fight for the lollipop. :-0
I don't have a sweet tooth. My SO does, he LOVES ice cream. It is one of his weaknesses. Me, I just like a cookie or two with my morning coffee. I won't suffer without it. There was a time when I had to have a Coke everyday...it was a terrible sweet tooth problem, and it isn't good for the waist either. I have since shook off that habit.

2. Do you ever compromise with your blog posting because of lack of time? Yes. Always. I have had to stop posting, commenting on the regular basis. Some weeks, I am lucky to have the T2Q up when I do. So it is a natural thing that we all go through and I don't sweat it anymore. I try to remember the reasons why I blog, and those are to relieve stress, and be active with the online community, and fun doing it.

Great post for 'D' ~ and wonderful yummy photos ~ 1. Sweet tooth ~ hmm ~ cookies and peppermint patties ~ go through phases ~ I walk with my dog everyday to keep healthy and limit my sweets and moderation in eating ~ 'Eat to live not live to eat.'
2. Yes, time is a factor ~ to it effectively and efficiently and sometimes I just need to do something else and the blog gets limited time ~ tis life ~ ( A Creative Harbor) aka artmusedog and Carol ^_^

Dums Dums..I believe there might \have been a couple in my past. Although the display is pretty, I'm not tempted.
Ditto for the donut...I just don't eat them anymore.

sweet tooth: I often solve that issue with a little bit of dark chocolate.
bog: I will write a quick post from time to time. Most of my posts seem to take quite a while to create. At this point I'm posting about twice a week.

Thank you for introducing Dum Dum to us, Dr Jim :) They are not available in Singapore.

I've very sweet tooth. Thus, I need to "discipline" myself because the desserts are too "delicious". These are two of my favourite "D" words.

I try to schedule my daily posts in advance. I've arrived at March 2013. I'll replace any post with more up-to-date ones when something exciting happened.

Yes, hopefully Mrs Jim will love her new cell phone very much. We managed to sign up for the inaugural Grand Prix Night Race Weekend cell phone offer with our provider in 2008. The offer was available for two days only. It enables us to replace the iPhone every year. It's a bundle package that includes our home land line, home broadband and cell broadband. I'm using my husband's old Samsung cell phone :)

Dum Dums are an old classic candy, but I don't believe they have chocolate chewy centers unless they have a new line of lollipops. You may be thinking of Tootsie Pops. Those do for fact have a chocolate chewy center. It's been a few years since I've had one, but I love lollipops period. Donuts is another 'D' word that makes me droll. In fact, we may get some of these little tasty pastries today on our way to my grandma's wake. That'll make a not-so-pleasent trip seem a litte nicer...I hope.

I admit it, I love sweets! I have always liked them. I use to have uncontrollable cravings for chocolates, but in the past 6 years that has been curtailed quit a bit and I just can't figure that one out. As I've gotten older, I have come to enjoy pastries, cookies, pies, & cakes more than candy. I don't keep a stash of candy on hand, other than through the holidays which means we have store-bought candies and my home-made varieties. Thank the good Lord, though. I just don't see to go bonkers of candy anymore. It's hard enough to get those calories off as you mature, so I'm tickled I don't have as much of the candy haunting going on in my head. =D

Compromising my blog....due to lack of time...okay, it use to bother me like crazy to miss a day in Blogosphere. I don't let it get to me quite as bad as those early days. Life just happens sometimes and you gotten take care of what it throws you. I do try to do advance write ups for the memes I host. One such as this, I make sure to have an idea going in Drafts so I can crank it out either Wednesday night or early Thursday morning.

Anywho, I'm trying to play catch up. This has been a difficult week for me with getting more trees taken down, the news of grandma's passing, her wake tonight (which happens to my birthday), and everything else rolled in there. Thanks for visiting, as always!

I don't ea tDumDums but I did eat a donut this morning. (SHHH. It's our little secret.)

OMG talk about a sweet tooth- all of mine are sweet- I hate savoury things but love sweet things- but they don't always love me LOL.

Okay I like donuts, but not Dum Dums - lol. My problem with my sweet tooth is that it had babies. And yes there are a couple times -- because of time -- I've had to compromise my blogging due to time. Is that where you are?
sandie

I miss Dum Dums

I remember Dum Dums...

They are quite Delightful...

What? Problems with my sweet tooth... never (((winkwink)))
