The candles don't seem to mind

- Left, a rainy London (UK) street in St. Johns Wood, Abbey Road is down at the corner (WebCam). Our kids lived right here for almost five years, now they are back in Texas.
- Right, a rainy "street" in old Dubrovnik, Croatia. Our hotel was up the steps on the right.
The December 8th writing themes to choose from are calm and candle, I chose both

I don't mind a drop of rain.
Love your verses. I particularly like the phrases about the candles and the floor "don't seem to mind." Sometimes nature is not perfect or pleasant in its beauty. We can so easily complain about the less pleasant parts, but there is still much to be appreciated in the mess.
I loved your verses for Two Shoes Tuesday, and I love windows open to the weather! Curtains can be washed, and floors can be mopped. When we lived in Germany we often left our bedroom windows open at night, even in the winter, to enjoy the fresh air. We would snuggle under down comforters with cold noses, but stayed very healthy. Your accompanying photos were lovely, you have visited so many wonderful places, good memories to warm the heart, even if at times the scene was a bit wet and dreary! Thank you for joining us today!
Katrin was a pretty girl, and obviously very loved and missed. Hug.
