Cool Western Breeze, Open Window -- Two Shoes Tuesday

Cool western breeze, open window
.
Cool western breeze, open window,
Calmly blowing flickering flames
The candles don't seem to mind

Rain in pin sized droplets glistening
Sagging curtain, it's dripping wet
Worries, soon to fall, on the floor

Murky puddles grow, rain stops not
Once was dust, now is mud and slime
Fit for pigs, the floor doesn't mind

Open window lets nature in

Nature's critter, our beloved Katrin, also wants in.
May she RIP

Katrin, our toy poodle died Tuesday last week
.
She died in her doctor's office of heart failure.  We loved Katrin so very much, Mrs. Jim had "rescued" her from a dying friend.

At left is Katrin last year on her 13th July birthday walking across the back porch to our back door. On the right is a very guilty dog back in 2008 when we first got her.  She had gotten into BP's toothpaste.  See this link:

I wouldn't want puddles in my house!

Thank you for sharing the lovely photos.

Soggy puddles, no! Freezing temperatures, yes! Shut that window quick, Jim! :)
I don't mind a drop of rain.

I'm sorry about the passing of your sweet dog. Our grand-dog is a fluffy white poodle. The photos are great. It is raining buckets here as I write this comment. I'm glad nature is outside the window right now.

I'm so sorry about Katrin. We become so attached to our babies.

Have a great day. ☺

Sorry about your Katrin - the loss of a pet can be so very sad.
Love your verses. I particularly like the phrases about the candles and the floor "don't seem to mind." Sometimes nature is not perfect or pleasant in its beauty. We can so easily complain about the less pleasant parts, but there is still much to be appreciated in the mess.

Oh Jim, first a heartfelt hug to you and Mrs. Jim for the loss of your beloved Katrin. She lived a long and much-loved life, but it is just never easy to say goodbye to our furkids. I know her departing will leave a hole in your house and hearts.

I loved your verses for Two Shoes Tuesday, and I love windows open to the weather! Curtains can be washed, and floors can be mopped. When we lived in Germany we often left our bedroom windows open at night, even in the winter, to enjoy the fresh air. We would snuggle under down comforters with cold noses, but stayed very healthy. Your accompanying photos were lovely, you have visited so many wonderful places, good memories to warm the heart, even if at times the scene was a bit wet and dreary! Thank you for joining us today!

"Open window lets nature in" describes our home, Dr & Mrs Jim :)

There is something innate in us that welcomes the life sustaining rain. I loved the photos. Pets give us such love and that that last trip to the vets is a terrible one, but how they have enriched out lives.

Nice verses, Mr. Jim. I could see what you were saying, and felt present.
Katrin was a pretty girl, and obviously very loved and missed. Hug.

Your words are so descriptive. Good writing. Sorry about Katrin. Always sad to lose a furry family member.

Welcome to nature, the final call. Great poem:)
