— My Alphabe-Thursday — "Y" — Yellow Pictures (as of late)

1st Yellow is for the Yellow stripes on KP's striped blouse.  If I hadn't wanted to post this picture of the three generations of women in my life, I would have called those stripes "Orange".

Left to right, Mrs. Jim, KP (she's six now!!!), and our daughter, KP's mom, Karen.

2nd Yellow is for the Yellow letters on my old Kentucky Derby racing game box.

I didn't know we had this 1940's or 50's game until we unpacked it from the umpteenth box.  (Yes, we have moved, to Katy, Texas.  If you have my e-mail address I'll send you my house address if you need it.)

Rules:  Pick a horse out of the four remaining from all these years.  Throw a dice once for the number of squares you'll move.  Throw it again to see which horse gets, remember five and six are lost throws in memory of the lost horses) to move the number of squares on the first dice throw. First horse to cross the finish line wins.

That reminds me that on a recent cruise we were the winners of the final horse race.  The horse we bought and decorated won.  Big bucks, ...

One more thing, the Ford Thunderbird emblem is off my 1969 Ford Thunderbird.  I took it off before I sold it for a ridiculously low price.  Then I forgot about it until I found it in the same box as the game.

3rd Yellow is for the big Yellow truck, a Love's Truck Stop truck. I was in the middle lane of five, he was in the inner of the passing lane passing me.  I was driving between 75 and 79.

You can click on any picture a time or two to get a better and better look.

It's great to see a post from you. I wondered where you went. I don't remember you moving though. It's all good.

Our Little Bit (our four legged buddy) passed away on October 22. It's been so hard without her. We had her almost 13 years.

Have a fabulous day. ☺

Lovely family ~ and creative post for Y ~ yellow ~ great shots!

Happy Weekend coming to you,
artmusedog and carol

cool.

Good to see you Y post! Did you see that this is the last round of Alphabe Thur for Jenny. Sad to see it go but she has hung in there for a long time. Your 3 generations of women photo is sweet!

Linda

amazing take on y.

Where did you move?
And you have three pretty girls there.

You certainly have three beautiful women in your life! No wonder you always seem so happy!!

Hi Jim! It's great to see you posting. Like everyone, I've wondered about you. Glad to hear your absence was from moving and not a lapse in health. But, then you have 3 wonderful gals in love with you. :-)
The View from the Top of the Ladder

Were you on the Katy Freeway when that truck passed? I'm always amazed at how fast people pass me by when I'm already going 5 to 10 miles over the speed limit. Defensive driving is the name of the game here. I rarely see anyone get pulled over on the freeway...or any place else in Houston for that matter. I enjoyed seeing your three generations. What a lovely family. I sold my 1966 Mustang at a ridiculous price in 1968 because we were moving overseas. I've regretted it every since! Hold on to that neat old game. I still have boxes that I haven't unpacked from when we moved over two years ago!!

How wonderful! Three generations of wonderful women. Lucky you, Jim. Glad you're back blogging.
