.

A dark and foggy night was setting in.

Al had wanted a quiet place on the Ohio River to dump the body.

Here is great. Pour the cement.

Yep that will work just fine. Only one body? Just saying.

Have a terrific day. Big hug. :)

Oh, I do love a murder mystery and this is the perfect beginning for a great one! Love it, Jim! Hope your week goes well!

Ah, yes, they start 'em young in the Cosa Nostra--learning the tricks of the trade. Good murder mystery, Jim!

OM, I smell a murder underway.
Perfect picture for a murder!

Perfect place to hide the body!

Aha, yes, the old cement trick. Good take on the prompt, but what I like is your Microfiction instructions line, where it says "preferably fiction" - that cracked me right up!

Jim, you're sunnier than that. You can't fool us.

Jim, this was good-just like a mystery novel, and I love a good mystery!

I hope they used QUIKRETE cement and concrete products!

Oo-er - nefarious goings-on here!

A good "Whoa!" to such a suspenseful and thought-provoking piece! I even imagined who I thought the author might truly be! ("Jim" is just your pseudonym, right?)

Excerpted from my blog comments: "BTW, my common name really is Jim, a nickname for my given name, James."

Rats! I was high-hoping you might be Snoopy!

Oh yeah! I'll get right on it- where's the chain?
