Six Pictures — My Alphabe-Thursday (4th), the letter "Q"

"Q" is for the 'Quack, quacking' of my ducks.

You can click on the duck at the right, He might quack at you.

Let's see some ducks I have met.

This giant rubber duckie made me laugh a little, Mrs. Jim is smiling.  Sitting in Sydney Harbor, it is a piece of art commissioned for the Sydney Festival.  It was created by Dutch artist Florentijn Hofman [Zap2it Blog for more].  We enjoyed the Festival activities all over town.   Saturday night we went to a concert in the park. It didn't Quack while we were there.

So now, "Q" is for Quack.  'Quack' like the language that ducks talk in.  Quack is one of the first words that children learn when they are learning animals and sounds is 'Quack' for ducks or 'duckies'.

These two ducks are headed for a treat that KP and Mrs. Jim are going to feed them.  They have oodles of bread to make large bread crumbs for the ducks and the 'fishies'.

Below is a picture I took of KP and Mrs. Jim calling the ducks for for their treats.  I hear them now, "Quack quack quack quack!  Here Ducks."

My sister Lois (link) and I used to Quack to the ducks to get them to talk ('quack') back at us.  We still do this.  I didn't know until one day she barked at a dog we met.  I stared laughing and she guessed that I also bark at the dogs.  It turned out that we both try to get all of the animals we meet to talk back with us.

I found these guys at Kroger this morning. I am not sure why there were so many. Most of the new action was for Halloween stuff. Again, not sure what business yellow ducks have to do with Halloween. Do you?

(Oh, yes, today is National “Patriot Day” in remembrance of 9/11.
It is also National Make Your Bed Day, try to make yours to take a load of the household care taker upper for a day.)

Today I am linked again (this is the first one of the fourth series for me) with Teacher Jenny at her Alphabet Thursday Letter "Q" blog (Link)  (My Older series post links, 1st, 2nd, 3rd)

One last look at the baby ducks for sale at our Kroger Store.

Someplace I have a picture of KP's bath rubber ducky but it didn't show up where I thought it might be. Perhaps I'll use it for "B" for Bath. Mrs. Jim has one too but I couldn't find it either.

When do ducks get up? At the quack of dawn!!
I first saw that huge rubber ducky when it was floating from country to country -- love him and wish I could see him in person! The Kroger display is certainly a conundrum.... I'm not sure I would ever have used a plastic yellow duck bib on my kids!
Give me those real ducks anytime!

What exactly is the purpose of the Kroger ducks? It must be something special, since they are marked $11.99! When I was a very little girl, I had a storybook called "Billions of Quacks." It was one of my favorites!!

What do you get when you cross a duck with fireworks? A firequacker! Love the post♪ http://lauriekazmierczak.com/question-mark-butterfly/

I like the big duck. He didn't quack when I clicked on him - just got bigger! {:-Deb

"Quek" is a Chinese surname too, Dr & Mrs Jim :)

Really wow! Cool pics :)
A similar Duck is in LA too :)
Do check out-

Love my ducks too! They look most like those swimming ones. That first one is just huge!
