~~ Friday’s Hunt v.2.10 -- "J" is for ...

For the week of September 2nd
1. Starts with "J"
2. Week's Favorite
3. Surprise

1. Starts with "J" :  Of course one of my favorite names is JIM.  My real name is James, James Vernon.  Growing up around Grandpa, I was Little Jim, as well as with my three uncles.

You see, Big Jim was just plain Jim.  His real name was Charles Vernon but they all called him Jim, so I had to be Little Jim.

2. Week's Favorite:

Our rabbit population here is really growing fast.  This little bugger was sitting in the neighbor's lawn, beside our driveway.  He didn't move, just sat there and watched me.

When I locked the car, I only pressed the button once so that I wouldn't scare.  We treat the rabbits nice but Mrs. Jim won't let me feed them.

3. Surprise:

He surprised us that evening. More surprising is that he didn't run away.

Here is the rabbit in another picture, cropped a bit.  To see another surprisebig one maybe, click on the picture here at your left.  You will be surprised.

When you get to the surprise, you can vote which if any you like best, then down to the last in order.

If you don't like any of them, write None liked for first place.

Please use this as your ballet, paste it or write its numbers into your comment:

I love looking at old photographs of my grandparents. They are all gone now and we are the old people. It's been a most wonderful ride too.

I was surprised. I had no idea.

Have a fabulous day and weekend Jim. ☺

Those were all great pictures in your contest! Everything is bigger in Texas they say! :-) I love watermelon, but that giant rabbit is just too beautiful and has to take the #1 spot. The bunnies are plump and plentiful here this year too, thanks to the frequent rains and lots of lush green stuff for them to eat. We love seeing them!

That looks like one big watermelon. The bunnies tend to stay hidden here or Harry the Farm cat erm, well. Does what Farm cats do.

Oh we had this big Tom and little Tom stuff too, what a pain! There is nothing cute about rabbits, they eat my plants, I'm not impressed.

Love your bunny Jim as wel as the old photo of your family. Now I wonder why they called your granpa Jim when that was not his name? In your contest, thhis is easy, I would leave them in the order you have them. Good enough for me First one being best and so on. Have a lovely weekend.

Great post...love your bunny. We saw two large ones in our a few weeks ago..I don't know how they got out of the fence...the opening isn't that big....as for your pictures

Best: The bunny. Your photo looks like a watercolor almost.
2nd: The watermelon.
3rd: That toadstool! Wowza!
4th: The Ford ad and So What? I used to say So What? to end arguments when I was younger. One of my college roommates didn't like that about me. hahaha.

I saw in your next post that your first job was a corn detasseler. I did once as part of a summer job doing hand pollination. The corn was over my head. Went home sick for 1 or 2 days.

I would love to have a friendly little bunny in my yard. Sadly, I'm sure my cats would too, but they want a snack. Thanks so much for joining me in Friday's Hunt. Hope you have a great week!

#2 That watermelon looks delectable! #1 However, bunnies trump watermelon any day of the week. #3 Now that's a toad stool, and I don't think I want to run into the toad! Enjoyed reading your job list. Quite impressive.
