— Six Word Saturday —
my Six Words:

At left Google is showing just now 143455 pageviews.
But I had Google set to count my own views too, while Site Meter has not been counting my views. Site Meter also does not count certain other viewers. I know this because sometimes I try to track a commenter at a certain time when the comment was left but Site Meter has no one tracked at that time.
What is the picture of? I was looking through my Achieves for back in July, 2011. I took the picture while I was in the midst of having my left knee joint replaced by the Bone and Joint Clinic of Houston (link). They did a good job, I play golf with no pain from it. But my doctor did say "no running."

Well wishes — Six Word Saturday — Therapy
The upper pictures are of my 'heel slide' stretch and one of my riding the bouncy ball. Each of these is actually from 'stretch exercise' ideas. My pose was about my max bending for each toward the beginning of two sets of ten pulls and rolls.
I am riding the bicycle slowly for eight minutes. The idea for this ride is not to stretch but rather for exercise of the knees. In eight minutes I am riding 0.7 miles and burn 16 calories.
That means I have a long way to go to reach my sister's progress. She has ridden from Center Point (near Cedar Rapids) Iowa to Western Colorado so far on her stationary bike. I don't know when she started. She is riding for exercise an weight control and not rehab.
I can do all my exercises, there are more than pictured here, at home. I have to go up to our fitness center to for riding the bicycle and for rolling on the bouncy ball. I may have already mentioned that I can drive up there now.

A big wish here also for those who live along our Eastern Coast. This certainly is a storm not to be fooled with. I do wish and pray for the health and safety for all of you.
BTW, we around the Gulf Coast are still patching up after our IKE of three years ago. It takes over six months to restore a flood damaged home, at least it did for us after tropical storm Claudia of 1979 dumped three feet of water in it.

Kid's doings — Six Word Saturday — My doings

The London kids are headed out for a Disney Cruise. They picked it up this morning at Barcelona and will be having fun for a nice week.
I won't cry because I'm not going. They did invite us to come along. We would have loved to have seen KP when she runs into all the Disney characters for her first time.
She loves them all as you can see. Minnie Mouse has become her favorite. Her outfit is a Minnie Mouse trolley carry on suitcase (loaded with her stuff), a Minnie Mouse doll, Minnie Mouse ears and hat, and last of all Minnie Mouse flip-flops which she isn't wearing in this picture.
[read about their upcoming cruise on Karen's blog (link)]
My Doings:
My knee is healing nicely. I go to a one hour therapy session three days in a week in town (Montgomery). This was for the last two weeks and one more next week. Then I slow down to two times a week for three more. At that time I should not require any more therapy.
This Thursday I see Dr. Price for an evaluation and an update on my progress. I only have minor questions for him.
Oh yes, Monday I will drive myself to therapy. I drove last night to a Sunday school class party here in the neighborhood and all went well. Mrs. Jim drove home because it was dark.

All dressed up and ... — Six Word Saturday — My knee today — Adi still watches after me
do on
Saturday
Morning?
This looks like a simple question with a simple answer. (Hint: go to the beach)
Go to the beach it will be. KP has her twin buckets and is decked in a cool beach cover-up, matching Minnie Mouse Flip Flops, and a nice shade making sun hat. Mrs. Jim said she did have her bathing suit on as well.
There is one problem. The beach is at Galveston, Texas, over a hundred miles to the south and KP doesn't have a car. Nor does she drive on streets yet if she did have have a car.
Note: KP was here a week ago plus a little visiting us from LONDON, U.K. Also visiting were her Dad, Billy (pictured), her Mom, Karen (our daughter), and big sister, BP.
Or, KP can play drums:
KP plays a mean pot and wooden spoon drum. In fact she can play two drums at the same time. You can imagine how much noise all this makes!
Billy and Karen pulled off a good trade. The gave KP two bright pails, one orange and one blue, with two matching shovels. Those pretty pails don't give off nearly as much noise as do the pots. In fact we all can stand her playing them even in the house.
I am sorry that I didn't take her picture playing with the pails and shovels. But someplace, I have an old video of her playing the pots and spoons.

My knee is progressing pretty good. Today is three and a half weeks after surgery (total left knee joint replacement). I go in to therapy three days a week (MWF) for an hour each day. I have just started riding the bicycle. Today in five minutes I rode 0.32 miles.
Except for the bicycle I can do all of the exercises at home now just fine. But going there keeps me motivated. Plus they check to see that I'm doing things right. Home health stopped with their PT help and their nurse. Mrs. Jim appreciated their changing my bandages but other than that there wasn't much for the nurses to do.
Some have been wanting to check on Adi and her aging situation. She still watches after me and not much gets by her even if she can't hear.

Fuzzy Math — Six Word Saturday — My Operation # 02
She: None Is Better Than One
This really isn't fuzzy math. No bell seemed to be better than one bell according to Mrs. Jim.
Mrs. Jim has been my buddy during my recovery for the left knee total replacement that I am going through.
Because our house is spread out and for sure when I was in the bedroom NEEDING HER HELP and she was in the kitchen or some other room she had a hard time hearing me call.
So I found this little bell to ring whenever I needed her. This system really worked quite well.
But now that I am fairly mobile with using my cane there isn't much more need to call her with the bell. I can just go get her instead when she cannot hear my gentle call.
I am hoping that next Monday it will be 'use a cane any place' time and I can put the walker up.
The final six words:
Two-year-old birthday girls smile really nice
We missed a bunch of birthdays this year so we made up for lost time when the London bunch got here.
This is BP. Her birthday was July 16 but she didn't get to us until July 19. Karen's ( her blog ) birthday was July 19 but she didn't get to us until July 23.
Billy's birthday was February 26 but we couldn't get him his present, these TaylorMade Penta golf balls, until July 19 when they came to us.

My Operation # 01 — Six Word Saturday —
I had a total left knee joint replacement. It all started here in this office where my knee doctor had moved to since the last time he worked me over. That was either my fall in Ireland back in 2007 or an earlier double arthroscopic repair of my torn left knee meniscus.
He had moved to this office of the HC Bone and Joint Clinic of Houston. It was a newly opened Woodland branch from their established Houston Medical Center main office.
I am home now with Mrs. Jim, KP, Karen and Billy, and Adi, Katrin, and Amber.
Home health has been coming for rehab every day this week. An RN has also been coming out daily to change my dressing. That part will stop now as Holly, Dr. Price's Pa, removed my staples this Thursday. Dr. Eric Price is my orthopedic surgeon and sports medicine doctor.
There were some interesting situations, some good an some not so good, associated here with the surgery. These and my more recent health findings I will tell about soon here on my blog.
Next will probably be about my "BOUT WITH Diarrhea."
