~~ Friday’s Hunt v.4.10 -- "J" is for ...

Friday's Hunt for the week of September 8th:
(1) Starts with "J"; (2) Car; and (3) Outside

(1) Starts with "J":  Jim, of course!!  I took this at the Rose Emporium outdoor garden a couple of years ago.  It has been my profile pretty much since then.  It has a picture of me sitting beside the Yellow Brick Road commiserating with Mr. Tin Man and Toto.

(another Mr. Tin Man story here)
Funny, I never noticed Toto until KP pointed her out to me yesterday.  Funny also, she had always thought, seeing Tin Man from a distance, that he was a Robot.

(2) Car: Here are a couple of "Lonely Cars".  Poor cars, sitting all alone.  Makes for a good story:
"Boogey Man got out to lurk;"
"Couples meeting in the night and leaving one car;"
"A breakdown" ....
Your version or suggestion?

(3) Outside: Just outside our ship leaving the Los Angeles Shipyard, headed for the end of the world, Cape Horn and then back up to Rio de Janeiro from where we would fly back to Texas.  WOW!!!

I'd never seen Toto in your pic, either! That must have been a wonderful cruise.

That VW does look lonely as it sits forelorn at the curb - out of gas? I wonder i it's one of the last Beetles manufactured in Brazil?

...:J"im, your name can in handy this week. I wonder how many cars there are around the world. Too many! Safe safe my friend.

What Tom said. Your name does fit this weeks letter.

Have a fabulous day. ☺

My second car was a Volkswagen like in your first picture !

Love that profile picture! I never thought about the tin man as the tin man either. Nice assortment of cars. Thanks so much for joining Friday's Hunt. Hope you have a great rest of the week!

Hi Jim - sorry to be so late visiting! Thank you for your very interesting comment about you and the chickens and your egg-cleaning times with your mom. That must have been a great time for you when you were young to have some interesting conversations with your mom. I thought it was funny that you had to get the chickens out of the trees. I live fairly close to an area called the Tantramar Marsh, which has a LOT of birds of prey. This is because it is a big hay-growing area, so there are a lot of mice and other little critters for the hawks and eagles to feed on. Therefore, the chickens I have would also be good targets for them. That is why I am keeping them in their enclosed area. It's for their own safety! I love that blue VW Beetle! They are one of my favourite cars!

You are still great at the Alphabet post. Your name is perfect for "J"! That's a great profile picture. Car styles and models have changed through the years. I saw a new dodge Dart today. It is a cute lil thing. It was my very first car and it was canary yellow. Gosh I loved that sweet ride.
ENjoy the new week with those you love best.
