Happy Thanksgiving -- Yes, it's Monday before already
HAPPY THANKSGIVING!
I will be reading and leaving some comments.
Don't know how much I will post until afterward.

Our Thanksgiving?
1. Daughter, Karen: “We will have it at our house this year.”
2. Daughter. Karen: “Can you have it at your house, my in-laws aren’t coming this year?”
3. Mrs. Jim: “Oh sure, come on up. You haven’t seen our new floors yet.” (Mrs. Jim’s sister from Louisiana and OM are coming, so we will have eight.)
4. Jim: “I don’t want you to do all that cooking and stuff. We will eat the buffet this year. I made reservations for 12:30. You can peek at the menu here.”
.
Now she's selling her book. And signing a few of them.

MILLIE: I is ...
TEACHER: No, Millie..... Always say, 'I am.'
MILLIE: All right... 'I am the ninth letter of the alphabet.'

Monday Update -- 2009-07-27 -- A this and that
Mrs. Palin is officially a civilian now. It happened either yesterday or day in her mind. Depends upon how she ended the day.
I hope her successor is more kind to the wolves, poor creatures. And the polar bears who are diminishing in population.
That reminds me of a joke I read someplace about politicians.
Did you hear about the politician who refused to listen to her conscience?
She didn't want to take advice from a stranger.

What not to wear to work:
Link to a nice little article from Forbes On-line, By Laura Sinberg, Forbes.com (Picture is from that on-line article)
I am retired but my son Mike is my fashion director for the way I dress in the subdivision. He thought my raggedy shorts and holey shirt had to go.
Mrs. Jim is my fashion director for my leisure and in public dressing. She is fairly liberal but does make sure I have not missed any belt loops or forgotten to zip my pants up.

Palin's goodbye poem
July 29, 2009, but pre dated because I just needed a place to stick this video without getting a lot of brew-ha's (ha, ha, ha, ha,) from my friends.
Anyone can find it IF they click my tag, 'Palin.'
I like William's rendition better, Sarah never was a speaker.

Thanksgiving for one
Sarah Palin pardons one Alaskan turkey but the rest have to go.
Keep watching into the second minute for her outside interview. Outside in front of the turkey killing and bleeding machine, watch the operation (be warned that two turkeys get killed during her interview) and hear the second interview.

.
I wonder what they do with all that blood that's in the tank. I suppose this beats the old fashioned axe to the neck, or like my Mom did with the chickens, pull their heads off by putting her foot on the neck and pulling on their feet.
At least in that machine we don't have to watch them flop around like we did back on the farm.
Oh yes, Ms. Palin, what was she saying?

The PETA blog on topic here
Notes: Genesis 9:2-3 (Bible):
2 The fear and dread of you will fall upon all the beasts of the earth and all the birds of the air, upon every creature that moves along the ground, and upon all the fish of the sea; they are given into your hands.
3 Everything that lives and moves will be food for you. Just as I gave you the green plants, I now give you everything.

Have you had your car read lately? #009 -- A Moscow (Russia) police officer WAS driving this car -- and PETA outrage!
but it stopped. Right in the middle of the street.
.PETA News Flash:
Jim's Little Photo Place today: SkyWatch Friday
My prediction for last night's debate: Sarah Palin in seven rounds.
[I was wrong about this, it was a 'dead heat'. The seventh round? Palin went down for that one, I thought it was going to be a knockout. A hockey-mom came to her rescue with some smelly salts. I did come to respect Joe Biden, he is truly a gentleman. Subscribe to his newsletter here.]
Wednesday: Our friend had outpatient surgery yesterday. Mrs. Jim and I drove him in, waited, and brought him and his wife back home. He's doing fine now.

The driver of this car is obviously embarrassed and very likely a little frustrated. This may not have been the first time he has been stranded given the reputation of Russian cars. That is if the car is Russian made, I am not familiar with this model and cannot identify it.
I am sure he is a family man, a nice man, and doesn't swear. That is the norm for police officers.
He is probably feeling helpless when thinking of getting it to run again himself. I am sure help is on the way as this is a very busy street, even though this was taken on a Sunday morning.
Why did I post this picture and the gentleman? Because it was the only way I could work this one in, it just wasn't good enough quality to be included in my Russian tour blogs.
Cartoons for the day:
I used to
Word for the day: HEAD-MONEY
This Friday feature for JIM'S LITTLE BLOG helps me tackle the blogging problem of writer's blahs. So my advice is "when you don't feel like writing anything, post a picture." That's what is happening here.
..
This is not an original idea. Reading cars came from a sermon I heard one Sunday, brought by Dr. Roger Yancey, Director of Missions, Tryon Evergreen Baptist Association, of which our church, First Baptist Church of Conroe Texas, is associated. I believe my count of 118 was pretty close (Google that to check yourself).
I saw a few cowboy churches and quite a few Hispanic churches. All are within a 35 mile radius of our home.

Wednesday (cat sleeping in picture below):
Let sleeping cats lay -- Tomorrow they may have a busy day
Sarah Palin's favorite cartoon: (go look)
Oooops, looks like her cartoon quit just like she did!
Today: October 1st is World Vegetarian Day (save a pig's life)
Yesterday: Consensus is to keep the little red desk
Picture of the day:
. Devil's Dictionary: KILL, v.t. To create a vacancy without nominating a successor.
Free Online Dictionary: KILL, v.t.
1.a. To put to death.
1.b. To deprive of life: The Black Death was a disease that killed millions.
2. To put an end to; extinguish: The rain killed our plans for a picnic.
Urban Dictionary: KILL, #21 of 30 - stop, get rid of, make go away
Why isn't the Tylenol killing this toothache pain I've had since last Sunday?

. This is Karen's cat, Amber. It was sleeping on her bed, just minding it's own business.
Karen is a little mischievous sometimes, this time she put the cover on thinking Amber would wake up and get up. That didn't happen, Amber wiggled and settled in for the finish of her nap.
Amber was rescued from Karen's friend. The cat was used to being a house cat but for some reason that I can't remember Amber was required to become an outside cat.
Neither the friend nor Karen wanted that so Karen has now has Amber. Amber is back to being a house cat. That cat is really spoiled. We tried to unspoil her while we kept her for a couple of weeks. (link)
I did teach her to come when I called and to sleep in her own bed at night. Her bed was right beside Adi's bed, both were right beside our bed.
The cat in this YouTube video is NOT AMBER. This cat seems to be much younger than Amber who is about 16 years old now.
